Featured Instructor
Tom has a BA from Princeton and a JD law degree and has studied Iyengar yoga since the 1980s. He has taught over 5000 classes in the mid-peninsula area since 1999 and has taken hundreds of hours of teacher training with many wonderful Iyengar instructors, including Manouso Manos, Aadil Palkhivala and Elise Miller.
Tom has taught at Yoga of Los Altos since its inception having had 20,000 + students in his classes over the last 6 years. He is a very popular teacher.
Tom's classes are mixed-level classes that afford both beginners and more advanced students the opportunity to work at their own levels. His classes combine precise instruction with individualized attention and gentle humor. His students work hard, make progress and have fun. Tom also includes pranayama (breath-work) in his classes on a regular basis. Join Tom for his classes here at the studio on Tuesday mornings, Thursday mornings or Sunday mornings.
Tom is also offering a special Father's Day Weekend Class on Saturday, June 20th at 1:30pm. This is a class designed for guys that might not have started yoga yet. We are encouraging family members to bring their Dads or Brothers or Husbands to this special class designed for guys to get a taste of just how much fun yoga can be and what a great workout for the body and mind it is.
